Nestled in the heart of the North Georgia mountains, Blue Ridge, Georgia, is a great place for couples seeking a picturesque wedding destination. For Sam and Dylan, it was the perfect backdrop to celebrate their love in a way that felt both intimate and authentic. Their wedding at Toccoa Lodge was nothing short of a fairytale, with personal touches that made their day unique.
Toccoa Lodge, with its charm and breathtaking views of the Toccoa River, provided the ideal setting for Sam and Dylan’s dream wedding. The venue itself feels like a cozy retreat nestled in the woods. It even has a separate home on the property for the couple to stay on their wedding night!
One of the most touching moments of the day was Sam’s first look with her dad. There’s something so emotional about the bond between a father and his daughter, and this moment captured that feeling perfectly. As Sam approached her dad, you could see the love in his eyes. The moment was filled with so much emotion—tears, smiles, and an overwhelming sense of love. It was an intimate, beautiful moment that set the tone for the rest of the day.
After the father-daughter moment, Sam and Dylan shared a private first look of their own. It was a quiet moment, just the two of them, away from the bustle of the wedding day. Dylan’s face lit up as soon as he saw Sam, and the joy in their eyes spoke volumes. They exchanged private vows in this special moment, promising each other forever with the river as their soundtrack. This intimate exchange of promises made the day even more meaningful, and it was clear that Sam and Dylan were ready to start this new chapter of their lives together.
Weddings are often filled with intimate details, beautiful florals, and lots of fun, but sometimes the heart of the celebration is found in the food. Sam’s dad, a retired chef and restaurant owner, prepared all the food for the event. “Brinner” as they called it– breakfast for dinner. It was simply delicious.
My favorite part of Sam and Dylan’s day is that it was easy and laid back. There was no rushing to be one place or another. They spent time mingling with their friends and family. They laughed. They danced. They truly enjoyed it, and that’s how a wedding should be.
