Oh, heyyyyy there! I see you’re looking for a free.99 ceremony location for your elopement. You’re in luck because I have some options for you! No gatekeeping These locations are all across Georgia and are accessible.
Something to consider is that a free location is typically going to be public, so you do run the risk of having other people around, especially depending on the season and time of day. Spring and fall are going to be the busiest!

North Georgia
State Parks
There are multiple BEAUTIFUL spots in North Georgia for you to choose from. Technically they’re not 100% “free,” as you may have to pay a parking fee, but you don’t have to pay anything to have your ceremony there!
- Vogel State Park in Blairsville | Offers mountain and lake views
- Amicalola State Park in Dawsonville | Offers a waterfall, hiking trails, and mountain views. You do NOT have to hike to get to the top of the waterfall. There is a parking lot near the top with a short paved path.
- Cloudland Canyon State Park in Trenton | Offers overlook views that are accessible! The waterfall(s) do require an extensive hike.
- Unicoi State Park in Helen | Offers lake and mountain views
- Fort Mountain State Park | Offers accessible lake and mountain views. There are also mountain views that require some light to moderate hiking!
Local Parks & Recreation Areas
Some of these may also require a parking fee!
- North Bank Day Use Area between Ellijay & Chatsworth | Offers stunning mountain and lake views. The sunsets are AMAZING!
- Harrison Park in Ellijay | Flat, beautiful, and easy! Gorgeous green fields, a view of the river, and even a wildflower garden in the late summer and early fall.
- Cohutta Overlook in Ellijay | A beautiful overlook with stunning views!

Atlanta & Metro Atlanta
There are actually quite a few spots in ATL and the metro area, so I’m going to list some of my favorites!
- Piedmont Park in ATL | Piedmont is obviously a popular spot, but there are plenty of places throughout to have a ceremony! You’ll likely get a lot of hype. While not free, you can also rent out the gazebo and dock!
- Winn Park in ATL | A cutie little park in the Ansley Park neighborhood with beautiful trees, landscaping, and a pond
- Decatur Square | The square and surrounding areas offer lots and lots of beautiful spots
- Vines Park in Loganville | This park has a beautiful gazebo, various gardens, a pond, bridges, and more!
- Lillian Webb Park in Norcross | Nestled in downtown Norcross is this beautiful park, which has a beautiful, GIANT fountain, gazebo, green grass, and beautiful landscaping.
- Downtown Marietta | Downtown Marietta offers a ton of cute architectural buildings, alleyways, and the square, which has a gazebo and a fountain!
- Downtown Alpharetta | It’s SO cute! The areas around the courthouse are gorgeous and include a little courtyard with fountains, beautiful architecture, and more.

Middle & South/Coastal Georgia
- Indian Springs State Park in Flovilla | This state park has some beautiful stone architecture, a lake, and the rock-filled creek that flows through it!
- Pendleton King Park in Augusta | This park is GORGEOUS! There are multiple different gardens, a few gazebos, a spring fed wetland, and more.
- Downtown Savannah | There are SOOOO many options in downtown Savannah with all of the historic squares! My favorites are Whitefield (where I got married!!!), LaFayette Square (fountain), and Pulaski Square (quiet, big oaks). There’s also various spots in Forsyth Park, including the fragrance garden! These spots are first come, first serve and may be rented out for paid events.
- Tybee Island | If you’re wanting the beach vibe, Tybee Island is perfect!
- Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island | If you want a beach vibe with a lil somethin, different, this spot is perfect! The beach is full of driftwood trees (hence the name)
- Skidaway Island State Park near Savannah | If you’re wanting something a bit more nature-y in the Savannah area, this is it! There are trails that wander through the maritime forest and old salt marsh.
